MAIN POINT:
"Baptism is a public declaration of faith in Jesus. It’s evidence of salvation, not a requirement for it."

KEY VERSE:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” – Matthew 28:19

CHALLENGE QUESTION:
"If you’ve put your faith in Jesus but haven’t been baptized since, would you take the next step to be?"

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:
Matthew 28:19, Mark 7:4, Luke 11: 38

SUMMARY:
Originally, "baptism" was not a religious concept. Yet over time, baptism has become an exclusively religious idea. Are you confused about what baptism is all about? Does it seem like a weird practice? Unsure if baptism is a next step for YOU? In this sermon, we explore the purpose of baptism, what Jesus and the writers of Scripture had to say about it, and why it’s so important for us today!
